I hope you're well. I'm writing to you about Russian interference into British politics.

 

Russian disinformation clearly has the potential to destabilise British democracy and society.

 

The Russia report from Parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee delivered an important takeaway. Its findings were not about the extent of Moscow’s malign influence in the UK, but about how unwilling the British government had been to take steps to detect and counter it.

 

The report identified gaping holes in both awareness of the problem, and legislation to deal with it. 

 

As your constituent, I’d like you to write to the Government asking what steps are being taken to counter Russia's malign influence in the UK, with regards to disinformation.
